Dothan man accused of having sex with teen facing new charges, has bond revoked

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A man accused of having sex with a teenager is back in the Houston County Jail facing new charges of incest after sneaking into his victim’s window while out on bond, court documents reveal.

In December, 33-year-old Joshua Jackson was arrested and charged with rape in the second degree and sexual abuse in the second degree after investigators with the Dothan Police Department accused him of having sex with a teenager one month prior.

After Jackson’s arrest, he was released from the Houston County Jail on a combined $45,000 bond with the condition he had no contact with the victim of his alleged crimes. On Tuesday, January 9, prosecutors requested his bond be revoked.

According to prosecutors, on Friday, January 5, Jackson was captured on video surveillance cameras sneaking through the victim’s bedroom window at night, breaking the condition of his bond. Eighteen days later, Houston County Judge Benjamin Lewis revoked Jackson’s bond.

Dothan Police records show that on Monday, January 29, Jackson, while in the Houston County Jail, was charged with an additional one count of production of pornography with a minor and four counts of incest with a minor.

Investigators with the Dothan Police Department say the charges stemmed from an ongoing investigation into Jackson.
