Dougie Poynter Has Been Living With Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus Following Ellie Goulding Split

Right, let’s go back a few years.

When Dougie Poynter first joined McFly he was just fifteen-years-old and openly spoke about how much he loved and adored punk-rock US band, Blink 182.

Fast forward thirteen years, and the successful musician has revealed that he and Blink 182 frontman, Mark Hoppus, are now so close that he stayed at the rocker’s home whilst he got acting lessons stateside after splitting from his long-term girlfriend, Ellie Goulding.

Talk about a lot of information to get in thirty seconds, eh?

We mean, we can only imagine how excited teenage Doug would be if he knew that at the age of 28 he’d be borderline living with one of his idols, let alone knowing that he was about to burst into a whole new industry.

Uploading a photo of himself with Mark, Mark’s wife, and a whole array of other pals, Dougie wrote: “This was a rad day with a rad filter.

“Thank you to the lovely Mummy and Daddy Hoppus for looking after me whilst I learn how to pretend to be other people.

“My thank you gift to you is letting you have your spare room back. You’re welcome”.

GAH - too adorable for words.

With two of Dougie’s McFly bandmates, Harry Judd and Tom Fletcher, expecting babies early next year, it is thought that the band will be taking a bit of a break from music - especially now that the Busted boys are back together, putting an end to supergroup McBusted.

The gorgeous Essex boy is already modeling for various brands but it had been hotly speculated that he might also try to venture into the world of acting, and it sounds like he is certainly doing what he can to make the career move a success.

Dougie’s acting revelation comes just weeks after it was announced that he and Ellie had split and we couldn’t be more glad to see that none other than actual Mark Hoppus was there to help nurse Dougie’s broken heart.
