Dove-Shaped Balloons Released in Japanese Neighborhood Destroyed by 2011 Tsunami

Japan marked on March 11 the 10th anniversary of an earthquake and tsunami that killed more than 15,000 people, and triggered a nuclear meltdown in Fukushima.

This footage shows dove-shaped balloons with messages on them being released into the sky outside the Memoire de Yuriage, a memorial site in a district of Natori that was largely wiped out in the disaster. The site is near a former junior high school where 14 students were killed.
