Heavy rain affected parts of Arkansas on Thursday, October 14, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of another round of potentially hazardous winds and hail on Friday.
School Superintendent Craig Dupuy shared video to Twitter of the downpour he encountered in Rison, southwest of Pine Bluff, as he watched a junior football game, taking cover in his vehicle amid the buckets of rain.
“Luckily, no lightning was detected and the kids had fun playing in the hard rain for most of the first half,” Dupuy told Storyful.
The NWS said storms would persist in the region through Friday. A hazardous weather outlook statement forecast the threat of hail and damaging winds would carry into Friday night. Credit: Craig Dupuy via Storyful
