Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has joined HBO Max's new satirical animated comedy, The Prince, and is set to voice not one, but two members of the royal family – Prince Charles and his father Prince Philip (via The Wrap).

The series is based upon Gary Janetti's parody Prince George Instagram account, and, according to HBO Max, will give us "a biting, satirical look at the life of Prince George of Cambridge, the youngest heir to the British throne, as he navigates the trials and tribulations of being a royal child".

"Before George rules Britannia, he'll be laying down his own laws in Gary Janetti's comedic take on the future King of England's childhood as seen from the prince's own point of view," the synopsis continues. "Because his succession isn't coming any time soon, in each episode George will find his path in life as a young prince in modern times – from the 775 rooms of Buckingham Palace to his family's sea of corgis to primary school with commoners."

He's joining a star-studded voice cast, with Game of Thrones' Iwan Rheon set to play his son/grandson Prince William, and co-star Sophie Turner recently announced as portraying his granddaughter/great-granddaughter Princess Charlotte.

Janetti himself is featuring in the series as Prince George, while Pirates of the Caribbean's Orlando Bloom will play Prince Harry, Billions star Condola Rashad will appear as his wife Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Prince William's wife Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, and Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth.
