Dozens of migrants land on beach in Dungeness, Kent escorted by border forces

Dozens of migrants have landed in Dungeness, Kent on Saturday (October 16) after crossing the Channel in dinghies. They were immediately intercepted by officers and escorted to Dungeness life boat station. The situation has sparked tensions between the UK and France accused of letting illegal migrants cross the Channel. The number of migrants detained by UK Border Force hit record highs this year.
