Dr Dre Revealed As World's Top Earning Musician
US rap producer and Beats headphones co-founder Dr Dre was the highest earning musician of 2014, according to Forbes.
Dre is reported to have made $620m (£395m) before tax.
The former NWA star - real name Andre Young - earned his cash haul in May's $3bn (£1.9bn) sell-off of Beats to Apple.
The company, founded in 2008, convinced music lovers that bulky fully-closed headphones could still be cool and established itself as the brand to be seen with.
Business and finance publication Forbes puts him miles ahead of Beyonce - who it says earned a relatively paltry $115m (£73m).
Her money came via the Mrs Carter Show tour, an album and big name tie-ups with the likes of Pepsi.
American rockers the Eagles scooped the bronze-medal position in the earning countdown - proving perhaps that Hotel California never quite closes for business.
Their world tour finishes in March and has so far collected $100m (£64m).
Other music veterans also showed they could still teach the kids a thing or two about making a buck. Bon Jovi made it to fourth in the list with $82m, followed by Bruce Springsteen ($81m).
Among those also basking in the glow of a financially lucrative 2014 include: Justin Bieber ($80m), One Direction ($75m), DJ Calvin Harris ($66m) and Katy Perry ($40m).
