Yahoo News Dr Martens’ new mermaid range: The iridescent boots and sandals perfect for festival season
Dr Martens has created a new range of iridescent "mermaid-style" footwear, just in time for the summer festival season.
The iconic British band has unveiled four different styles of footwear which are available in two new iridescent colour options.
The new range comes in either a turquoise rainbow metallic effect look, or a shimmery rose gold/dusty pink style, with both sheens featuring geometric print "scales" to really heighten the mermaid-inspired theme.
Both of the colourways come in four different style of footwear, and all of the styles feature a chunky black sole which makes them perfect for festivals this year.
First up is the 1460 Pascal boot, which comes in two colour options, while the Voss sandal is available in blue. The slightly chunkier Molly boot is available in the pink colour, as is the Holly shoe.
And the footwear comes with matching shoe laces, to help you really stand out in the muddy festival fields this year.
In the product description, Dr Martens says: "Live at full volume. Our Iridescent collection is made from two-tone iridescent scales that demand attention with every step.
"And the Molly boot is loudest of all. Built on our towering Quad Retro platform, the stacked boot is elevated even higher with flecked laces and brushed silver eyelets, while Docs DNA is cemented with a yellow welt stitch and AirWair heel loop."
The English footwear brand, which began life in the 1960s as a work boot, has become engrained in the British style scene over the years.
Going from a workwear item to a fashion staple, Dr Martens shoes have become a regular sight during fashion week, not only worn by influencers and editors, but also mega-models like Kaia Gerber, Gigi and Bella Hadid as well as Hailey Bieber.
