A body has been found in the search for Michael Mosley, according to reports. The body was found in a cave on Symi, as reported by Sky News.

Rescue teams had entered a daunting area known as "The Abyss" in a desperate search for the missing TV doctor, with police and fire brigade units joining forces to probe the complex network of underground passages where the 67 year old British doctor disappeared last Wednesday during a hike on the Greek island of Symi.

Mosley was last seen heading alone from St Nicholas Beach back to his accommodation in Pedi, where he planned to meet his wife Dr Clare Bailey and two friends around 1:30 pm. Now into its fourth day, the operation involves firefighters who are thoroughly searching water-filled tunnels near Agia Marina, according to the Express.

The 67-year-old broadcaster did the Channel 4 show Michael Mosley: Who Made Britain Fat? and was part of the BBC series Trust Me, I’m A Doctor.

He also lived with tapeworms in his guts for six weeks for the documentary Infested! Living With Parasites on BBC Four.

Mosley has been given an Emmy nod for BBC science documentary The Human Face, presented by John Cleese and featuring a raft of human faces including Elizabeth Hurley, Pierce Brosnan, and David Attenborough.
