In Michael's final statement on X, previously known as Twitter, he mentioned his wife while responding to a fan appreciation note.

The initial fan message said: "Hi Michael hope you read this. Thank you so much. I decided to take cold showers after listening to your episode about the benefits of it.

"Now I've had a rotator cuff injury for a while and had to take at least 2 ibuprofen daily. A week after the cold showers, I haven't had to."

In response to some fan interaction, Michael stated: "Delighted to hear it.. while reading your tweet (or is it your X) I had a bad moment when I thought you were going to say you got a rotator cuff injury after falling in the shower..."

Meanwhile, an extensive search operation has been launched on the Greek island of Symi, where he was promoting his new venture with his spouse.

A local Facebook community verified that Athens search and rescue teams were enroute to the Dodecanese island, with official sources confirming they'd found "no trace whatsoever" of the famed health guru.

Representatives for Dr Mosley have also confirmed that the search remains active, notifying the Mirror that they are "very worried about him".

Senior spokesperson for Greece's police force Constantina Dimoglidou gave confirmation that the attempts to locate him began early this morning without any significant discovery.

She said: "He was at the beach of Ag. Nikolas with another couple when he decided to go back to his home in the area of Pedi of Symi.

"It was around 1.30pm and he forgot his phone at the beach. Any and every attempt to track him down has not produced any result.

"We have now asked the fire brigade to assist in the operation in the case that he may have slipped, tripped, fallen, even bitten by a snake, remaining injured somewhere. There is just no trace of him.

"None whatsoever and that means that for us at least, every potential scenario is open and being investigated."

Dr Mosley's wife, Dr Claire Bailey, raised the alarm when he failed to return six hours after leaving for his hike earlier this week. Police are leading the investigation, suggesting they believe he is missing on land but the coast guard is thought to be assisting in the search effort.

A community Facebook group on Symi has also issued an appeal for people who may have seen the presenter.
