'Drag Race UK' and 'Taskmaster' are back: The 5 best things to watch on TV, Thursday 23 September

The glamour of Drag Race UK explodes back onto our screens tonight as season three launches on BBC iPlayer, with the cast including the show's first female queen.

Channel 4 has a new series of Taskmaster hosted by Greg Davies, while BBC Two brings back The Hairy Bikers who this time will be taking a trip north.

Elsewhere, two crime series conclude tonight - ITV's Manhunt which has been dramatising the case of the Night Stalker all week, and A Killing in Tiger Bay, BBC Two's investigation into the miscarriage of justice against the Cardiff Five.

Season three of RuPaul's UK version of Drag Race is back on our screens tonight as the series lands on iPlayer.

We'll see 12 new queens competing for the crown, including the show's first-ever female contestant Victoria Scone.

Celebrity judges this series include Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Emma Bunton and Alesha Dixon.

It's a strong week for Greg Davies - not only has he brought back panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks and is continuing with new sitcom The Cleaner, but he's also launching series 12 of Taskmaster tonight.

The celebrity team of challengers includes Alan Davies, Desiree Burch, Guz Khan, Morgana Robinson and Victoria Coren Mitchell, and in this episode they'll have to make use of catapults and a fake cactus.

We learned last night that The Hairy Bikers were a favourite of the late Prince Philip, so if they're good enough for royalty...

In their new series, they're heading north in the direction of their homelands to discover the best in northern food and drink.

This episode kicks off in Lancashire, where surprisingly they find a buffalo farm and sample the delicious mozzarella.

Manhunt - ITV - 9pm

Martin Clunes' latest outing as real-life detective Colin Sutton concludes tonight after a four-night run.

This series, Manhunt has followed Sutton's investigation into the notorious south London Night Stalker, a case that ran for decades.

As the team begin to doubt themselves, Sutton makes a breakthrough in one of the most elusive cases the country had ever seen.

A Killing in Tiger Bay - BBC Two - 9pm

Also winding up tonight is the story of the Cardiff Five, an outrageous miscarriage of justice that saw five Black men charged with a 1988 murder despite witnesses implicating one white man.

In the third and final episode, we see the families of three of the men sentenced to life in prison appeal their convictions, while the real killer remains at large.
