Dragons' Den's Sara Davies 'cried uncontrollably' after Strictly Come Dancing experience
Sara Davies has admitted that she "struggled" and was left "crying uncontrollably" after she was voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
In a recent interview, the Dragons' Den star opened up about her experience after she was eliminated from the much-loved BBC dance competition during week eight in 2021.
The successful businesswoman, who was partnered up with Strictly pro Aljaž Škorjanec, ended up in the dreaded Dance Off after landing a score of 32 for their Argentine Tango.

The judges would opt to keep Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin in the show, meaning Sara and Aljaž had to exit the competition. However, leaving Strictly would prove to be a surprisingly difficult experience for the entrepreneur.
Sara told the High Performance podcast: "I really struggled and I struggled to understand why I was struggling so I went...I did nine weeks in the show and Adam was out the week before me, actually.
"And so we both kind of experienced that similar thing and I can remember at the time, I met somebody, Dr Ranj (Singh); he'd been on the show a couple of years before me and he just looked at me.
"I think it was the Tuesday night after I'd been eliminated and he said, 'How are you?'. I said, 'I'm not good, mate'; I'm just crying uncontrollably, and he said, 'Yeah, it's s**t, isn't it?'"
She said the former Strictly contestant had described it as akin to being thrown out of a "massive party bus" and then having to watch as the bus continues on with your friends.
She went on to say that she'd lost a close friend to cancer only a year prior but didn't understand why she cried more over Strictly, especially as it was a "b****y dance competition".
Entering Strictly is like going into an "alternative universe" where you're living a "different life" or like being in a "surreal second universe", according to Sara, who said the experience ended abruptly for her.
Sara, who made her fortune through her company Crafter's Companion, hails from County Durham and graduated with a first-class degree in business from the University of York.
She embarked on a work placement in a craft firm and quickly came to the realisation there was a gap in the market for custom envelopes for handmade cards.
With the help of her dad, Sara would later make a product called The Enveloper, which was subsequently launched on a TV shopping channel.
