The drama with CBB's Dan, Gabby and Ryan explained

Celebrity Big Brother is just getting started, but it's already tangled us all in some romantic drama that's so complicated that we may need a machete - or at least this handy explainer - to slice through it.

As we're sure you're probably aware, the Eye of the Storm opened up on Borehamwood on Thursday (August 16) for the launch of the Channel 5 reality series, as a new crop of famous faces moved into the nation's most famous mansion.

It's always fun to see the celebs mixing as they enter, trying to suss out who they'll get on with and who they already can't stand - but three of this year's housemates already have beef outside of CBB.

Here's the low-down on how Dan Osborne, Gabby Allen and Ryan Thomas are connected: It all starts with Dan and Gabby recently being photographed together on holiday with friends Stephanie Davis and Calum Best.

Some complained that it was insensitive for Dan and Gabby to be spending time together when Dan was trying to sort through his marriage difficulties with Jacqueline Jossa - complaints that subsequently Osborne rebutted.

Gabby has since come forward to clarify that she'd cleared the air with Jacqueline, and vowed to steer clear of Dan once they were reunited in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

"I'm never going to sleep with a married man. Ever," she insisted. "I've seen it happen to my friends, to family, I've been cheated on so badly before. It is not worth it."

It was a tad awkward when the two came face-to-face in the house, with them exchanging a kiss on the cheek before Gabby moved on to greet the others.

So where does Ryan Thomas come into it? While he doesn't have any connection to Gabby Allen, he reportedly did have a wobble about joining CBB once he heard Dan Osborne had been cast.

That's because Ryan has been dating former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, and it's serious enough that they're even documenting their most intimate of moments with us.

But before she was with Ryan Thomas, TOWIE viewers watched along as Lucy had a very rocky romance with - you guessed it - Dan Osborne. Unlike Gabby and Dan, it was much less awkward when these when Ryan and the TOWIE star greeted each other on Thursday.
