A dream mansion has come up for sale in Greater Manchester for a whopping £3,150,000, and it closely resembles the idyllic property that features in The Notebook.

Fans of the 2004 romantic movie, based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, will know that the film features a huge white house built by Noah, a poor man, for his lover Allie, who comes from a wealthy family.

Before they are forced apart because of their differences in society, Allie, played by Rachel McAdams wishes for "a white house with a big old porch," which years later is brought to life by Noah, played by Ryan Gosling.

Hale railway station offers links with Knutsford, and further afield to Chester. Hale and its surrounding towns and villages are particularly favoured, having good commuter links into Manchester City Centre and Salford Quays via the Metrolink facility at Altrincham station.

"Trafford is also well known for its excellent schooling, both in the state and private sectors. Indeed, there are several good schools nearby to suit children of all ages."
