Drive-by terror as gunman blasts home in Birmingham street
Police have stepped up patrols in a Birmingham area after a drive-by shooting in the early hours of the morning. Officers believe a car pulled up before gunshots were fired in the street.
The incident reportedly took place in Dovedale Road, in the Erdington area, at around 1am on Tuesday morning, January 28. Fortunately, no one is understood to have been injured.
Police have launched an investigation and urged anyone with information to get in touch. Officers have also increased patrols in the area as reassurance to the public.

CCTV trawls are being carried out and police have asked witnesses of the shooting to come forward. A statement from West Midlands Police read: "We're investigating after shots were fired at an address in Birmingham yesterday morning. It's believed shots were fired from a vehicle that pulled up on Dovedale Road at around 1am.
"No one was injured, and enquiries continue. We have increased patrols in the area to reassure the public and we are carrying out CCTV and house to house enquiries.
