A wildfire complex spread across Napa and Sonoma counties on Tuesday, August 18, after the region experienced a series of lightning strikes a day earlier.
Dashcam footage captured by Tyler Day as he drove through the blaze on Highway 128 and Steele Canyon Road shows the destruction caused by the Hennessey Fire.
Evacuation orders were put in place for the two counties in Northern California as firefighters continued to battle the LNU Lightning Complex Fires, which include the Hennessey Fire.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the Hennessey Fire had burned 105,000 acres, destroyed two outbuildings and one structure. It was zero percent contained as of August 21. Credit: Tyler Day via Storyful
