Driver escapes injury after lorry becomes stuck in narrow Cornwall road
A lorry driver managed to escape injury after the large vehicle became stuck in a narrow road near Truro - with the driver then apparently leaving the lorry after realising there was no way of getting it free.
The incident, involving what appeared to be a tipper trailer lorry, occurred on Thursday evening (November 7), outside Kernow Cottages, with the lorry left blocking the junction at Cusgarne Hill and Coombe Lane, just north of Frogpool.
By the time a passer-by spotted the vehicle, belonging to manufacturing company Fruehauf, at about 6pm there was no-one waiting in or with the HGV.

Devon and Cornwall Police were later called, and helped to arrange recovery, with the lorry removed from the area at around 9pm.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to Cusgarne Hill at around 7.40pm on Thursday 7 November following reports of a jack-knifed lorry. Recovery was arranged and lorry removed shortly before 9pm. No injuries."
Fruehauf has also been contacted for comment.
