Driver injured after Mercedes car crashes into Basford garden wall

Emergency services were called to a Nottingham home after a driver crashed into a garden wall and sustained head injuries. Fire crews and police officers were called to Bagnall Road in Basford, after a car hit a garden wall at around 2pm this afternoon (Wednesday, November 20).

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle's driver had managed to exit it without the help of firefighters, but had suffered injuries to their head. The fire crew from Stockhill fire station then handed the incident over to Nottinghamshire Police.

The force has been contacted for further detail on the collision. Pictures from the scene of the crash show that a silver Mercedes car was loaded onto a recovery truck after 4pm.

The front of the car was heavily damaged, with one of its headlights missing and the boot crumpled.
