Driver killed in five-car-crash on M18 near Doncaster
A driver has been killed in a five-car-crash on the M18 near Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a major car crash near junction six on the M18 at 10.43am yesterday (November 13). The crash involved five cars and took place on the southbound carriageway.
Medical personnel were also in attendance, and despite their best efforts, the driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are now being supported by officers.

As a result of the crash, the M18 was closed in both directions between junctions six and seven. The motorway has since reopened.

The police said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage or witnessed a fatal road traffic collision on the M18, near Doncaster.
"On Wednesday (13 November) at 10.43am, emergency services were called to reports of a collision near junction 6 on the southbound carriageway involving five vehicles.
"Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the driver of one vehicle, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"His family are being supported by trained officers.
"The M18 was closed in both directions between junction 6 and 7 while officers conducted their work but has since been reopened."
