Driver seriously injured in M3 crash after car left motorway
A driver suffered serious injuries after his car left the M3 and collided with a tree. Police were called to the motorway at 10.22pm on Friday, October 4 after a silver Honda Civic left the northbound carriageway.
The motorway was closed in both directions between junction 5 for Hook and junction 6 for Basingstoke/A339 Newbury while emergency services were on the scene. Police are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone with dash cam footage to come forwards.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said officers believe several vehicles including a motorcyclist who may have witnessed the collision stopped at the scene but left without leaving any details.
