An uninsured driver was sick in a police car after crashing near Molineux Stadium. The woman motorist came off Wolverhampton's A4150 Ring Road, police said.

Officers said the driver mounted a kerb after failing to give way. She was suspected to be over the drug drive limit and was 'driving without insurance', police added.

Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) said the driver would also be sent a cleaning bill for their sick-stained Volvo after it "all proved too much for her stomach". An image of the crashed car showed the driver's air bag had gone off.

It was not clear exactly when the incident happened, but police posted the picture online at 6.17am this morning, June 1. CMPG wrote on social media platform X: "The young lady in this vehicle failed to give way and mounted the kerb on Wolves Ring Road.

"Maybe because she was over the drug drive limit and doesn’t have insurance. She will also have a cleaning bill for our Volvo after it all proved too much for her stomach."
