A driver who went on a McDonald's run on Friday night is now in jail. Ethan Marshall, 31, of Upper Aston Hall Lane, Hawarden, went to an outlet of the US chain in Broughton.

But he crashed his vehicle as he left the site. He didn't stop at the location but was later tracked down by police.

When they caught up with Marshall he provided a positive road side breath test. Police said he was taken to "McCustody".

Now he has been jailed for 16 weeks after appearing at court.

North Wales Police said: "A man has been jailed for drink driving after being involved in a collision as he left McDonalds in Broughton, before driving away. Ethan Marshall, 31, of Upper Aston Hall Lane, Hawarden, was arrested on Friday (January 24th) following the incident.

"He was remanded into custody and appeared at Mold Magistrates Court the following day charged with being over twice the legal drink drive limit, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

"Marshall was jailed for 16 weeks and was banned from driving for 51 weeks. Not a 'happy meal' for him, in the end."
