A pothole-riddled road is being resurfaced. Staffordshire County Council is repairing Scot Hay Road and its Kents Lane junction, in Silverdale.

The work starts on Tuesday 26 November, will cost £295,000, and take 10 days to complete. Damaged drains and kerbs will also be repaired and replaced.

Temporary lane closures and signed diversions will be in operation. Overnight road closures will also be in place from 7pm to 6am.

Councillor Mark Deaville, cabinet member for strategic highways, said: “It’s great to see these long-awaited improvements get underway. I’m sure they’ll be welcomed by everyone who uses the road. As always, crews will be doing their best to keep disruption to a minimum, which will include doing the resurfacing overnight when the road is quieter. I’d like to thank people in advance for their patience while this important work takes place.”
