An SUV driver had a miraculous escape after a crash with a lorry saw his entire car impaled by this concrete post.

The lucky motorist in Mengcheng, China, rear-ended a lorry carrying utility poles, causing the freak accident.

The driver had been passing through a flyover, before being ‘blinded’ by high-beam lights from cars in the opposite direction.

After smashing into the back of the goods vehicle, one of the giant concrete poles pierced his windscreen and entire car, coming out of his boot on the other side.

Fortunately, the motorist was alone in the car at the time and “miraculously” avoided what could have been severe if not fatal injuries, reports said.

The car has since been freed from the utility pole and was towed to a local dealership, which will attempt to salvage it.

Mengcheng police did not say whether the lorry’s cargo was being properly transported or whether the driver was being investigated for overloading.
