Drivers urged to avoid major Rugby road after 'serious crash'
Motorists have been urged to avoid a major road following a serious collision today (Saturday, September 14). Police remain at the scene on Ashlawn Road in Rugby.
Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash at around 12pm. Ashlawn Road is closed in both directions between Fareham Avenue and Fisher Avenue.
It is currently not known whether anyone has been injured. Drivers have been told to avoid Ashlawn Road this afternoon (September 14).

Traffic on the major road is gridlocked, according to Google Maps. Diversions have been put in place, with people urged to 'take an alternative route where possible.'
In a statement issued today (September 14), Warwickshire Police said: “Officers are currently in attendance at a single-vehicle collision on Ashlawn Road in Rugby.
“It is closed in both directions between Fareham Avenue and Fisher Avenue. Please avoid the area and take an alternative route where possible.”
