Motorists and other road users have been warned to be aware of "dense fog" on the roads this morning.

The warning was issued by Oxon Travel, Oxfordshire County Council's traffic alert system which warns drivers of weather issues, crashes and road closures.

The warning was issued this morning as rush hour began.

"We are getting reports of dense fog in more rural parts of the county, please be seen however you are travelling this morning," the alert system tweeted.

You can find more information about travelling safely through fog on the Highway Code website: highwaycodeuk.co.uk/fog.html
