Drivers warned they must follow 20/20 rule or risk fine for 'breaking law'
Drivers have been warned to follow a little-known 20/20 rule or risk a fine for breaking a little-known cleanliness rule. Motorists have been told to implement a new habit - the 20/20 rule - in a bid to keep their cars clean and sparkly.
LiquidTech explained: "Car clutter can accumulate quickly as we go about our busy lives, but by following our eight steps, drivers can transform their vehicle from a pigsty to pristine perfection. Not only is car clutter unsightly, but it's also unhygienic because it can accumulate dust, food debris, and other particles that provide a breeding ground for bacteria and germs."
It urged motorists to follow the '20/20 rule', which means road users should throw away any item that they do not regularly use if they are able to source another for under £20 in the space of 20 minutes, according to the firm.

One of the most important legal requirements for keeping your car clean is making sure your registration plate is visible. Your registration plate must be clean and legible at all times, so you could be fined if it's obscured by dirt or snow. You should also make sure your registration plate is securely fastened to your vehicle.
Your windshield must be clean and free from any obstructions that could impede your vision. This means you could be fined if your windshield is dirty or if it has any cracks or chips that need to be repaired. You should also make sure your windshield wipers are in good condition so you can clear away any dirt or debris that builds up on your windshield.
The UK has a number of laws and regulations in place regarding the cleanliness of vehicles. These laws are designed to keep the roads safe and clean and to prevent pollution. If you are caught not keeping your car clean in the UK, you may be subject to a number of penalties.
If you don't follow all those issues mentioned above, you could end up getting fined for the violation. The amount of the fine will vary depending on the severity of the offence and the area in which you were caught. In some cases, you may also have your vehicle seized.
