'Driving Into Armageddon': Motorist's Ominous View of Fire on California-Nevada State Line

The Mono County Sheriff’s Office said one person died and at least 80 homes were destroyed by November 19 as a fire burning near the town of Walker, on the California-Nevada state line, grew to almost 30,000 acres.

This footage was filmed by Steven Todd Rogers, who was travelling near Walker on November 17, the day the fire broke out. He said it felt like he was “driving into Armageddon” as he approached Walker, before being diverted by the highway patrol onto Highway 338, crossing into Nevada.
