Lava from the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma flowed into the ocean on September 29, forming a new lava delta and producing potentially harmful gases, according to Spanish authorities.
Drone footage posted by the Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME) shows lava rushing into the sea on Wednesday. The newly-formed lava delta can also be seen.
