A Drone Captures Tunneling Machine Emerging From Below Downtown Seattle

A tunneling machine, nicknamed Bertha, completed its 1.7 miles journey underneath downtown Seattle, Washington, on Tuesday, April 4, paving the way for a new State Route 99.

The machine had been digging a double decker tunnel to house State Route 99 for nearly four years.
