Drone Footage Shows New Crack in Agung Crater

Scientists discovered what they described as a “new hole” in the middle of Mount Agung’s crater on Friday, November 24, as they used drones to assess the status of Bali’s active volcano.

Despite Agung’s eruption on November 21, Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ignasius Jonan, insisted that tourists and residents should remain calm. “For tourists, I urge that do not need to fret, not to worry because the government still gives a warning if necessary,” said Jonan, according to a statement on the ESDM website.
