Drone Footage Shows Demolition of Didcot Power Station Cooling Towers

Three cooling towers at the Didcot power station in Oxfordshire, England, were demolished on Sunday, August 18.

Local media reported that thousands of homes in the area were without power after the controlled explosion, but a spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) told the BBC the power cut was not linked to the demolition. The Oxford Mail reported a drone may have been responsible for the fault after hitting a power line.
