Drone footage captures the homeless crisis in Santa Cruz, California on May 23. The filmer said: "Throughout my life living in Santa Cruz, I've seen the homeless people in my community shuffled around. They are moved from here to there and then back to where they originally were. This is the first time that I've seen three homeless encampments moved into a single location. Of course, things are much worse because of the pandemic, and the economy. Based on census data, Santa Cruz has rated the 13th most expensive place to live in the United States. In my opinion, we need more affordable housing, loosen the red tape for permitting tiny homes, and more mental health counselors to implement new rehabs that don't have a six-month waiting list."
