Drone Footage Shows Wreckage at Site of Mexico City Metro Collapse

Drone footage from May 4 captured the scene of the wreckage that resulted from a metro overpass collapse in Mexico City the day before in which 23 people died.

The CNPC said they used two large cranes to remove the wrecked cars, allowing them to inspect the structure.

The collapse happened at the Olivos station on Line 12 of the city’s metro system. In addition to those killed, dozens of people were injured and taken to hospital.

Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said there would be a full investigation into the cause of the collapse and declared three days of mourning. Credit: Alexis Armando Borja Cortes via Storyful
