Police have discovered a live cannabis cultivation at a property in the Ribble Valley.

Officers from Ribble Valley Rural Task Force and Clitheroe Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in Chatburn this morning (Friday, September 13). This was following concerns that had been raised by the local community.

The property was found to contain a live cannabis cultivation setup on the ground floor. Subsequently, a 39-year-old male was arrested after being found in an upstairs bedroom and is currently in custody awaiting an interview.

As a result of the find, police stated: "Drugs are not welcome in the Ribble Valley and we would like to thank the local community for their support in helping us tackle this kind of activity."
