Drunk passenger urinates on woman’s luggage during American Airlines flight

A drunk passenger on an American Airlines flight urinated on another passenger’s luggage.

The victim was a 28-year-old woman, according to the police report, with damages totalling around $100.

Law enforcement were asked to meet flight 1344 from Chicago to Charlotte in North Carolina on Thursday 21 March following the incident.

While the perpetrator was taken into custody, no charges have as yet been filed.

A spokeswoman for the Charlotte office of the FBI confirmed to the Charlottesville Observer that the FBI was notified of the police report on Friday.

The incident occurred a week after an airline passenger shouted that cabin crew were “paedophiles” and had to be forcibly restrained.

The man, named only as Henry, allegedly drank a bottle of vodka during the flight before becoming aggressive and verbally abusive.

It took place on a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Singapore and his behaviour was caught on video by another passenger.

“Henry” can be seen standing in the aisle and shouting at the crew while another passenger attempts to hold his arms behind his back.

The video then cuts to the man sitting down, restrained by seatbelts, while continuing to verbally abuse a male flight attendant.

A fellow passenger said the man’s remarks were “very distressing and upsetting,” but praised Qantas staff for their handling of the situation.

A Qantas spokesperson said: “The passenger was restrained by crew and met by local authorities on arrival in Singapore.

“We take a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour onboard and we thank our crew for their professionalism in managing the situation.”
