Being stuck in quarantine during a global pandemic definitely does not mean you have to be super productive... unless you're Dua Lipa.

With the release for her new album Future Nostalgia coinciding with the world going into lockdown, the Brit singer had to get pretty creative with the self promotion side of things.

So, while the rest of us have been scrolling for Kardashian news, finishing Netflix and sorting out our knicker drawer, Dua has turned into a one-woman marketing machine.

She spoke to fans via Instagram, telling them: “I’ve been a little bit conflicted about putting music out and you know, whether it’s the right thing to do during this time because lots of people are suffering.”

She was clearly very emotional, but went on to reveal that the album launch would go ahead, and that she hoped it would “bring her fans a bit of joy at a very uncertain time.”

After streaming her new album on FaceTime and doing a virtual performance on the Late Late Show, Dua took part in a photoshoot for The New York Times, where she had no other choice but to do her own makeup after social distancing measures meant her usual glam squad had to stay home.

Her photographer, Charlie Gates, posted pictures from the shoot on his Instagram. And the results? S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.

Dua loves to post glam beauty looks fresh from the makeup chair, and has been known to gush about the makeup artists she takes inspiration from, such as Pat McGrath and Lisa Eldridge.

But how exactly did she prepare for her first solo shoot?

"Normally when I'd go and do promo of course, I'd have my hair and my makeup done, whereas now I have one trusty brown lipstick. I put face cream, and that is it for the day," she nonchalantly told the publication.

We suspect the lipstick she’s referring to is Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick, £17.50, if past interviews with the star are anything to go by.

Who knows, maybe we'll all "do a Dua" and emerge from quarantine wearing nothing but a nude lip... or maybe not.
