Dua Lipa shows appear to have been confirmed for Anfield Stadium next summer after a billboard was spotted in Liverpool city centre. Having confirmed two dates at Wembley Stadium next summer, the ‘Be The One’ singer is embarking on her first UK stadium tour and is believed to be including Liverpool’s home ground as part of it, the ECHO understands.

The 29-year-old has a strong affinity with Reds fans with her single ‘One Kiss’ being adopted by supporters following her performance at the UEFA Champions League final loss in Kiev in 2018, and was popular the following year in Madrid, where Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur to lift the trophy.

Potential concerts and details have not been confirmed, but it is believed a potential Anfield stop was teased on Thursday morning when an electronic billboard at Liverpool Lime Street Station featured an advert from O2 Priority which read: “O2 customers get early access to Dua Lipa at Anfield Stadium.” It is believed that those advertisements have since been taken down.

If shows are confirmed, Lipa would follow a sell-out three-night stint by pop superstar Taylor Swift this summer, as well as two dates by another US icon, Pink, as Anfield welcomed back live music having taken a year out due to the redevelopment of the Anfield Road End. The club were unsure of whether or not they would have more events next summer, but with Lipa apparently scheduled to perform it opens up the likelihood of more stellar names to be performing at Anfield in 2025.

Liverpool commercial director Ben Latty told the ECHO last month: “But certainly, now that we've put on such amazing shows for those five nights for Taylor Swift and Pink, and previous years, I think we are very much on the tip of the tongue of promoters when they're looking for venues to take their artists to in the UK.

“I think Anfield's right up there now and I think that's kudos to the city. We put on a good show when we bring major events. There was great work from the team as well behind the scenes at Liverpool to make sure that it's a seamless visit from these huge, huge acts.”

After pictures of the billboard appeared on X, one fan said: "I’m ready for this and also my credit card." Another added: "My favourite stadium and artist best believe i’ll be there."
