April 25 is an annual day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorating those who have died in conflicts, and comes on the anniversary of the beginning of the First World War Gallipoli landings.
Arriving at the ceremony alongside her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, Middleton cut a crisp figure in a bright white knee-length dress coat designed by Alexander McQueen, featuring a nipped-in waist and v-neck collar.
It is not the first time the Duchess has been seen wearing the garment. A keen recycler of her favourite pieces, the Duchess had previously worn the coat to Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, an event in Belgium in 2017, Trooping The Colour in 2016 and Princess Charlotte’s Christening in 2015.
She finished the look with a matching pillarbox hat with black satin bow, plain black heels and a clutch bag, plus she held a pair of cream gloves. Her hair was swept off the face, and hung loose behind her shoulders, nicely framing her pair of drop pearl earrings. She finished the sleek style with a red poppy and diamond brooch on one lapel.
