Duchess Of Cambridge Dusts Off Old Alexander McQueen Number For Queen’s Garden Party

Last night, the British royal family - and some very lucky guests - donned their finest gear for an evening of schmoozing in the garden at Buckingham Palace, in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

While her Maj added a pop of colour to the proceedings in a turquoise hat and coat paired with a floral dress, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for an all-cream ensemble.

The get-up, a ruffled top and matching skirt from Alexander McQueen’s SS12 line, may look familiar as it’s the exact same outfit Kate wore to Prince George’s christening back in October 2013.

Boasting a nipped-in waist and peplum hem, the form-fitting ensemble accentuated the royal’s slim figure and showed off her sartorial prowess.

The 34-year-old wore the same Jane Taylor hat, too. The only difference was her hairstyle. Back in 2013 she wore her hair in loose curls, whereas last night she opted for a chic chignon. She always switched up her earrings, opting for a dangly pair at the christening and a simple pair of studs for the Queen’s birthday bash.

The Duchess was joined by Prince William, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice as well as Prince Philip for the annual Buckingham Palace garden party. This is the fourth time that Kate’s attended the lauded event: She first made an appearance in 2012.
