Duk BACK in Aberdeen training as wantaway striker sets about repairing the damage after going AWOL
Duk is back training with Aberdeen.
The Cape Verde international issued an apology at the weekend after he had gone AWOL for nearly three months. The striker had been looking to force a move away and refused to return for pre-season under Jimmy Thelin, but the Dons refused to bow and dismissed all lowball offers before the close of the transfer window.
Duk had cut off all contact with Aberdeen and the club were forced to go legal, which left the 24-year-old in an impossible position and now he has decided to return to Pittodrie. Duk looks to have returned in good shape as he begins work under Thelin. Pictures from the club’s social media video show the striker running at Cormack Park, along with several teammates. It remains to be seen if the door will be open for him to return to the first-team.

Duk is out of contract in the summer but was looking for Aberdeen to sell him 12 months early. The issue for the Dons is that they would be due his former club, Benfica, half of any future sale.
