The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their new baby in April, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

As with her previous two pregnancies, Kate has been suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum - severe morning sickness.

But the Duchess appears to be over the worst after dancing at a public engagement this week.

William and Kate, both 35, are already the proud parents of four-year-old Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who turned two in May.

Her pregnancy was announced early in September because she had to skip some official engagements.

As expected, William and Kate are not revealing the sex of their baby.

They left the gender of their first two children a surprise.

Nevertheless, the couple's third child will be styled as the Prince or Princess of Cambridge, much like George and Charlotte.

The Queen is said to be “delighted” by the news of the impending arrival of her latest great-grandchild, who will be fifth in line to the throne.

Her own birthday is also in April.

Kate is expected to return to the private delivery suite at the Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, where George and Charlotte were both born.

Today’s announcement comes just weeks after Prince George started school at Thomas’s Battersea, where fees cost £17,604 a year.
