Dunblane bricklayer secures special apprenticeship after work with house builder
A Dunblane bricklayer has been selected to participate in a specialist course to build his skills after two years working for a housebuilder.
Dale Robertson has been an apprentice bricklayer working for Persimmon Homes since 2022 and has since excelled in both the classroom and on building sites.
The company were given the opportunity to nominate three of their current crop of 45 apprentices to take part in the Advanced Craft bricklaying course at South Lanarkshire College.
The course will allow Dale to refine his trade skills and expanding his professional expertise.
It is tailored to build on apprentices’ existing knowledge, equipping them with advanced techniques and practical expertise in bricklaying.
The programme not only enhances technical skills but also prepares apprentices for increased responsibility and professional growth within the construction industry.
Dale said: “Being selected for the Advanced Craft course is a fantastic chance to build on what I’ve learned and push my skills further.
