Dunblane care worker named as top of the crop as she picks up national prize
A Dunblane care worker who has worked in helping others in the town since the age of 13 has been named as Scotland's care worker of the year at a recent awards bash.
Carer Ashleigh Robertson, from Randolph Hill care home, scooped the prize at the Scottish Care Home Awards.
The awards are nominated by colleagues and residents’ family members and Ashleigh was recognised for her dedication to the role where she has been lauded for delivering care with ‘empathy, consistency, and exceptional problem-solving.’

Her journey began in her early teens working as a cleaner on a Saturday at a nursing home in Dunblane, even maintaining contact with residents after the home was closed as they were relocated to Randolph Hill.
She was then offered a full-time position at the home in 2007 and has developed her role from carer to a team leader, supported by SVQ4 certification which she successfully completed earlier this year.
Randolph Hill managing director Peter McCormick said: “Ashleigh is an exceptional colleague who is a shining light for the Scottish care profession.
"She is firmly dedicated to our residents who appreciate her attentive support and consider her a friend as well as a carer.”
Ashleigh is just one of a number of colleagues employed at Randolph Hill care homes based across Scotland who were recognised at the awards.
Mr McCormick said: “I have the highest praise for all of these colleagues for their unwavering professionalism and the respect they’ve earned from our residents, their families, and their co-workers.
"Their success in these awards is a firm testament to their dedication and commitment to their roles within the Randolph Hill Group.”
