Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza promises festive fun for all this Friday, November 29.

The town’s High Street will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the much-anticipated Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza.

With something for everyone, the community-led event hopes to bring people together to kick off the holiday season in style.

The evening’s festivities begin with late-night shopping as High Street shops open their doors to offer special discounts and deals.

Local eateries will also be on hand with warm treats and hearty food, keeping everyone fuelled and festive.

At the heart of the evening’s excitement, Santa Claus himself will make a grand entrance, parading down the High Street accompanied by the stirring sounds of the Queen Victoria Pipe Band on his way to The Station Plaza. There he’ll officially

light the community Christmas tree, signalling the start of the holiday season.

Once the lights are aglow, Santa will settle into his cosy grotto to greet children and accept cash or food donations for local foodbank charity Start Up Stirling. In return, every child will receive a small gift.

Adding to the magic, Santa’s reindeer will make a special appearance, and children can send their Christmas wishes directly to the North Pole via a special post box.

Entertainment will fill the streets, with performances from a lively ceilidh band and talented local musical groups stationed at designated areas along the High Street, creating a vibrant and merry atmosphere as people shop and dine.

As the evening draws to a close, the Dunblane community will come together in musical style with a rousing chorus of Christmas carols. Led by the Scouts and Rubber Chicken Theatre,

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “The event is a true testament to the strength of the Dunblane community.
