Dune actor Timothee Chalamet says first trailer is coming this month
Dune's Timothee Chalamet has promised that the big-screen adaptation's first trailer will arrive this month.
Directed by the man behind Arrival and Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve, this sci-fi epic plonks Chalamet in the shoes of Paul Atreides – the son of powerful Duke Leto Atreides (played by Oscar Isaac) whose destiny beckons in the far reaches of a brutal desert planet.

The news of the trailer's impending debut came on Twitter yesterday (August 7), when one of Chalamet's followers wrote: "timmy it's my birthday today... give me some content about dune pls i'm the biggest fan [sic]"
Finished off with a zipped-mouth emoji, the actor responded: "trailer before sept."
And just like that, those three simple words have made the remainder of August seem pretty exciting.
trailer before sept. 🤐

Meanwhile, Isaac recently described the Dune footage he's seen as "amazing", while the movie will also undergo reshoots in Europe this month.
"Denis is a real artist and it will be exciting to see it come together. It's kind of wild that we're doing some additional shooting a few months before it's supposed to come out, but that happened with Star Wars as well," he explained.
It's safe to say that Digital Spy will be on the scene as soon as the trailer comes out.
Dune is currently scheduled to hit US cinemas on December 18, 2020.
