Fans throwing objects at performers on stage has been a recurring problem. Pugh’s Don’t Worry Darling co-star Harry Styles was also a victim of a fan throwing an object at the singer during a performance in Austria. The singer was hit as he was walking across the stage he covered his eyes with his hands and winced in pain at the time.
During a concert in Chicago over the summer earlier this year, Drake was also hit by an object. While in Las Vegas, Cardi B fired back at a fan throwing her microphone back at her for throwing water at her.
Adele called out the trend of fans throwing stuff at performers during her residency in Las Vegas.
“Have you noticed how people are like forgetting f***ing show etiquette in America, they’re just throwing s**t on stage Have you seen that?” she asked as she walked the stage with the t-shirt gun. “I f***ing dare you,” she added. “Dare you to throw something at me.”
