Aussies who surfed on Venice's Grand Canal to be sued by city

Two people foil surf along Venice's Grand Canal on August 17 sparking outrage among the residents and the city's administration. The mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, released a statement on Twitter announcing that the two surfers have been identified: "The surfing boards have been seized and soon, the responsibles of this act will be sued". The pair were identified as Australian tourists and were fined £1,267 each. The administration will sue the two men for damaging the image of Venice.
