Durham hotel unveils £5m refurbishment to upgrade facilities
A Durham hotel has completed a £5m refurbishment aimed at keeping it as a premier destination in the city.
The upgrades at the Radisson Blu Hotel include a new bar area and outdoor terrace overlooking Durham Cathedral and Castle. The hotel’s dining concept, Józef’s Riverside Bar and Restaurant, has also been refurbished, while Tempus Hub has been created as a dedicated events space and private bar within the hotel.
General manager Stuart Lloyd said: “The refurbishment has combined exceptional facilities with thoughtful style and our signature Radisson service. Every aspect of the hotel has a new lease of life. The whole team are passionate about putting the hotel firmly on the map as a remarkable location in Durham city centre.”
