Dust Storm Envelops Nevada Casino

A dust storm swept through the south of Nevada on Tuesday, April 9, limiting visibility on the roads and raising health concerns.

This footage, filmed by Joseph Squellati, shows thick dust shrouding Whiskey Pete’s Casino in the town of Primm, which is located on the Nevada-California border.

“There was so much dust it made its way into the casino. Casino was super dusty and set off the fire alarms cause it was so thick inside,” Squellati wrote on Twitter.

National Weather Service warned locals to take care. “Just a reminder – desert dust isn’t just inconvenient, it can make you sick! Try to stay indoors, close windows, and recirculate air in cars!” Credit: Joseph Squellati via Storyful
